BRG’s ARCHIBUS Practice team continued our long-standing partnership by presenting, sponsoring and exhibiting at the 2016 ARCHIBUS Nexus Conference. More than 20 members of our team attended Nexus, and enjoyed connecting with clients, ARCHIBUS end users, and fellow business partners at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina, May 1 – 4.

“Nexus 2016 was a very successful and exciting event, and a wonderful tribute to late ARCHIBUS founder Bruce Forbes,” said Reeves Davis, BRG Vice President of the ARCHIBUS Practice. “Nexus provided BRG a great forum to connect with both our clients and our partners at ARCHIBUS. It was impressive to see the continued momentum ARCHIBUS is bringing through the introduction of new activities, exciting updates to existing features, and a detailed long-range roadmap.”

This year, BRG was honored to present alongside two of our clients, as well as present a Lightning Talk:

  • AMD | Going Green with ARCHIBUS for the Global Portfolio – Leveraging Space Management
  • EMC2 | How Close Can We Get to Space Utilization?
  • Lightning Talk | Biomimicry and Global Real Estate and Facilities

We were also pleased to support three of our clients in their presentations:

  • Hamilton County | Energy Conservation Construction Projects – On Track for ROI
  • Region of Waterloo | Region of Waterloo Aligns Business Processes & Technology for Comprehensive Building & Equipment Asset Management
  • State of Tennessee | Implementing Capital Projects in a Diverse Organization

Each of these sessions provided client-specific insight and experience, allowing them to share how they have leveraged ARCHIBUS (with a little help from BRG) to help their organizations grow and succeed. Attendees were able to hear from peers across industries, learning from implementation experiences, exchanging best practices, and trading technical tips.

If you would like copies of these presentation decks, please contact us. We’d love to share our client’s stories.

BRG and our clients were also honored to receive several awards from ARCHIBUS this year.

  • Best Customer Service and Support Award: BRG employees Donissa Berryman and Larissa Gosain for “…consistent, exemplary service and support of a client’s ARCHIBUS implementation, providing both technical and business expertise.”
  • IWMS and TIFM Business Alliance Award: BRG and our client EMC2 for “…creating tools and systems that enable the most effective and efficient Business Practices. These international companies are having a global influence on the healthy growth of real estate, infrastructure and facilities management technologies.”
  • Distinguished User Award: Region of Waterloo and Citrix. This award is presented to an organization that has provided sustained leadership in implementing and using real estate, infrastructure and facilities management technologies.
  • Application Excellence Award: Red Hat. This award is presented to the organizations that have demonstrated a unique, innovative application of the ARCHIBUS software to their company’s own needs and overall structure.
  • Energy Efficiency Award: Hamilton County, Ohio for “… reducing their energy use and costs with innovative technology and management methods – shrinking their carbon footprint, and serving as an example for others to model.”

This year, as in years past, we hosted a special BRG Networking Event for our clients, prospects, partners, and friends. Our guests braved the wild, and joined us at the legendary San Diego Zoo for a fun evening filled with good music, food, and oh – kangaroos, zebras, rhinoceroses, and koalas! All of our guests left with a BRG swag bag, and some really great memories.

This year, BRG was pleased to sponsor both the photographer at ARCHIBUS’s Gala, held at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in historic Balboa Park, as well as a booth in the Product and Services Expo. We had a great time at the Gala – ARCHIBUS throws a great party every year and this year was no exception. Photos from the Gala may not be available immediately after the Conference and may take several weeks to post to the page, so if you’re not able to see them yet, check back again soon.

The BRG ARCHIBUS Practice team manned the booth, where we demo’d our OSIS way-finding kiosk for the first time. For more information on OSIS, the way-finding kiosk, or any information BRG shared at Nexus, please contact us.

We’re looking forward to next year’s conference in Washington, D.C!
